Build your own stabilizer
Of course it is quite easy to purchase a stabilizer, but often times the fun is in the making. You'll have your own, and at a price that's hard to beat. Doug Andrew (Of the Potomac Curling Club deserves credit for this page) has taken the time to build several for the club, and has documented the directions, complete with 8 x 10 color glossies with circles and arrows.
A detailed set of instructions, illustrated of course, is available as either a .pdf file or as a Microsoft Word document. It doesn't matter which you use, they both say the same thing.
